Busy Signal

What is a busy signal?

A busy signal is a succession of short dial tones. If the line is unavailable, a caller will hear a busy signal.

What are the reasons for a busy signal?

There may be several reasons for a busy signal. An agent may be talking to someone else at this time, or your number may be blocked from the system. A caller may choose to do the following:

  • Try calling again some time later.
  • If the settings allow, switch to voicemail or dial a relevant option offered in the interactive voice response menu.
